Windows 11 issue with USB driver.

We have been informed by customers that they are encountering USB-related connection issues with their CNC controller.

This happened after a Windows 11 update. As a result, the driver is not accepted by Windows 11, and error #52 is displayed in Device Manager. We’re currently working with Microsoft to update the driver and resolve this issue. If you have submitted your email address, we will inform you when this driver is available.

Please use the Newsletter link to submit your email address to us.

This issue does not affect CNC controllers using a network connection.

We have a temporary workaround that will let Windows 11 skip the driver check. Please note that as soon as the PC is rebooted, this check will be enabled.

Temporary Workaround

You can temporarily disable driver signature enforcement on Windows 11 by accessing Advanced Startup and selecting the Disable option.

This allows you to use older drivers for your current session, but it will automatically re-enable security when you restart your computer.

    1. Open the Start Menu and click the Power icon.
    2. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and click Restart.
    3. Once the blue screen appears, navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings and click Restart.
    4. After the PC reboots, a list of options will appear. Press 7 or F7 on your keyboard to select Disable driver signature enforcement.

Windows will now boot to your desktop, allowing you to use the old driver.
